Charlotte Hammerbeck is Director, Meetings Technology at GSK (GlaxoSmithKline). Since 2013, GSK has been implementing significant changes to the way the organisation delivers meetings, with the introduction of a Global Meetings Project to diagnose current status and propose a new operating model, policies and structure. As the technology lead for this project, Charlotte oversaw the implementation of StarCite across >140 markets throughout 2014-2017, a single GSK meeting app in 2018 and, in 2019, will lead the deployment of the StarCite replacement across the organisation (StarCite is currently used to register any meeting >£5k planned spend).
Charlotte has been with GSK for 3 years, and previously headed up the Global Meeting Management Centre of Excellence for the company.
Prior to working for GSK, Charlotte has held a number of positions in IT, communications and event management, amongst these being as UK Communications Manager for Sodexo (GSK account) and global configuration lead for the GSK implementation of EMS (room booking software). Charlotte is a member of a number of professional bodies and groups and is a judge for the International Business Awards (Stevie Awards).
Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Russian from Bristol University.
